Sheer Logic Management Consultants Limited is seeking a Logistics Sales and Operation Clerk to join our team in Kampala. This role involves ensuring timely submission of documents, monitoring export cargo shipments, coordinating logistics activities, and managing supplier relations. Key Responsibilities
- Document Submission & Cargo Delivery: Ensure timely submission of relevant documents and oversee the efficient delivery of export shipments.
- Customs & Regulatory Compliance: Lodge shipments with customs and relevant agencies (OGA) for release and handover.
- Shipment Monitoring: Track export cargo, ensuring correct temperature settings and compliance with dangerous goods regulations.
- Communication & Reporting: Provide daily reports on operations, advise on new regulations, and follow up on queries related to exports and imports.
- Financial Reconciliation: Manage export-related charges, ensuring accurate reconciliation, correct payment allocations, and timely invoice payments.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with shippers, customers, third-party suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Asset & Resource Management: Maintain an inventory of company assets at yards and optimize the use of manpower and sea logistics resources.
- Client & Supplier Relations: Act as the main liaison between K+N sea export logistics customers, suppliers, and Kuehne+Nagel at Kampala.
- Business Development: Identify potential suppliers and seek new business opportunities to expand logistics operations.
- Border Operations: Oversee cross-border shipment activities at Malaba to ensure seamless entry and exit without delays.
- Other Duties: Carry out additional tasks as assigned by the departmental manager.
