Position: Senior Compliance Officer

Department: Compliance Department
Reports To: Head Compliance

Job Requirements:

• Education: Honors Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
• Thorough understanding of the financial services sector, regulatory framework, Bank Policies, and Procedures.
• Professional qualification in Governance, Compliance, AML/CFT, Financial Crime Risk, Fraud Examination (added advantage).
• Work Experience: Minimum 3 years in Compliance, Financial Crime, Auditing, Fraud, and Investigations, preferably in a commercial banking environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and supervise Compliance Officer Monitoring activities.
• Identify and assess compliance risks with business activities, including new products, business relationships, and international expansions.
• Develop and implement policies, systems, and procedures for compliance reporting.
• Monitor compliance with internal policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Train staff on compliance regulations.
• Spearhead internal controls implementation.
