Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Optometrist to join our team in Kampala. In this role, you will conduct comprehensive eye examinations, diagnose vision issues, and provide expert recommendations on corrective measures and eye health management. Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive eye exams and assessments to diagnose vision problems.
- Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other vision correction solutions based on patient needs.
- Educate patients on eye care, visual hygiene, and preventive measures.
- Provide personalized advice on eye health concerns and lifestyle adjustments.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
- Address and resolve customer concerns to ensure high-quality client care.
- Stay updated on advancements in lens technology and eye care practices.
- Collaborate with the team to deliver exceptional customer service.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
Must-Have:
- Diploma in Optometry or a related optical health field from a recognized institution. (Degree holders are also encouraged to apply.)
- 3-6 months of experience in a busy optical center.
- Strong knowledge of frame styles, lens types, and best practices in eye care.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive and dynamic approach.
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with advanced diagnostic tools and technologies.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
