About the Role
Sun King, a global leader in off-grid solar energy solutions, is seeking a Digital Advertising Specialist to join our dynamic Marketing & Creative team. In this role, you will develop and manage paid digital campaigns across various platforms to enhance brand awareness, sales, and return on investment (ROI). The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, a passion for data-driven marketing, and experience running campaigns across African markets. While this is a remote position, working hours must align with the Africa-based team.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Creation & Management
- Plan, execute, and optimize digital advertising campaigns across Google Ads, Meta (Facebook & Instagram), TikTok, and YouTube.
- Set up campaigns with proper targeting, budget allocation, bidding strategies, and conversion tracking.
- Conduct A/B testing on creatives, audience segmentation, and bidding strategies to maximize performance.
Analytics & Reporting
- Analyze key performance metrics (KPIs) and generate data-driven insights for campaign optimization.
- Provide regular performance reports, highlighting ROI, audience engagement, and strategic recommendations.
- Stay updated on platform algorithm changes, adjusting campaigns accordingly.
Strategic Planning & Collaboration
- Work closely with the marketing team to align digital advertising efforts with broader business goals.
- Coordinate with creative teams to develop compelling ad content in different formats.
- Collaborate with the call center team to ensure campaigns drive quality leads without overwhelming operational capacity.
- Keep up with industry trends to identify and implement innovative ad strategies.
Budget Management
- Allocate and optimize advertising budgets to ensure cost efficiency and high ROI.
- Adjust spending based on performance trends and seasonal demand.
Innovation & Experimentation
- Test new ad formats, audience targeting options, and bidding strategies to enhance campaign effectiveness.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- 5+ years of experience in managing successful digital advertising campaigns on Google, Meta, YouTube, and TikTok.
- Experience working with multinational brands and exposure to African markets is a plus.
- Strong track record in performance marketing, lead generation, and ROI-driven advertising.
- Proficiency in Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, and similar tools.
- Expertise in customer persona development, ad copywriting, and creative strategy.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret campaign data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting campaign insights and strategic recommendations.
- Understanding of conversion tracking, Google Tag Manager, and attribution models.
- Certifications in Google Ads, Meta Blueprint, or TikTok Ads Manager are an added advantage.
