Job Summary
The Case Worker – GBV & CP will coach and mentor Child Protection (CP) and Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Committees to:
✔ Disseminate CP and GBV awareness messages in communities.
✔ Identify, document, and triage CP and GBV cases.
✔ Make and follow up on referrals in line with the case management process.
✔ Supervise, coach, and mentor GBV and CP Committees.
✔ Submit detailed case management reports.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Train and mentor Child Protection Committees (CPCs), GBV Committees, and community facilitators.
✅ Organize monthly meetings with CPCs and GBV committees.
✅ Triage and assess all reported cases and make internal or external referrals for support.
✅ Ensure proper documentation and maintain case files for all reported cases.
✅ Conduct case conferences and coordinate with relevant authorities like OPM, CDO, and probation officers.
✅ Perform home visits and follow-up to ensure proper case resolution.
✅ Work with partners, the district’s Community Services Department, and OPM to facilitate case closure.
✅ Represent War Child in Protection and GBV working group meetings at the district/settlement level and provide reports.
Qualifications & Requirements
🎓 Education:
✔ Bachelor’s Degree in Community Development, Social Work, or a related field.
💼 Experience & Skills:
✔ At least 3 years of field experience, preferably with an (I)NGO in child protection & GBV.
✔ Experience in Case Management is a must.
✔ Strong knowledge of child rights, protection, gender, and SRH.
✔ Ability to write and speak English fluently.
✔ Familiarity with West Nile’s political, cultural, and social dynamics.
✔ Willingness to live and work in remote areas.
🏍 Other Requirements:
✔ Must know how to ride a motorbike and have a valid riding license.
