Key Responsibilities
✔ Enforce law and order across Uganda.
✔ Protect life and property.
✔ Preserve peace and public order.
✔ Prevent and investigate crime.
✔ Carry out additional tasks as assigned by the Inspector General of Police.
Minimum Requirements
✅ Nationality: Must be a Ugandan citizen with a valid National ID or a Confirmation of Information letter from NIRA.
✅ Criminal Record: Must have a clean record (no criminal convictions).
✅ Training: Must be willing and ready to undergo Police Basic Training.
✅ Physical & Medical Fitness: Must be in good physical and medical health.
✅ Work Conditions: Must be willing to work long hours, sometimes under difficult conditions, and in any part of the country.
✅ Communication Skills: Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
✅ Service History: Must NOT be a serving or former officer in any other forces.
Educational Requirements
🎓 UCE Certificate or Equivalent obtained in a single sitting, not earlier than 2020, with:
✔ Traditional Grading System: At least 4 credits, including English or Mathematics, and a pass in the other subject.
✔ Competency-Based System: At least 4 “C” grades, including English or Mathematics, and a “D” grade in the other subject.

✅ Photocopies of academic certificates.
✅ Photocopy of your National ID.
✅ Three (3) recent passport-sized photos.
✅ School ID or introductory letter from the last attended school.
✅ Recommendation letters from LCI, LCIII, and RDC (from your district of residence).

- Deliver the complete application to the nearest Police District or Divisional Headquarters by March 21, 2025.
