We are seeking a skilled and experienced CAD Engineer to join our team in Kampala, Uganda. This is a full-time role where you will play a key part in designing and planning road construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring precision, innovation, and compliance with industry standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed design drawings and plans for civil engineering projects, with a focus on road construction and infrastructure development.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure designs meet project specifications, standards, and client requirements.
- Utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) to create, modify, and optimize engineering designs.
- Conduct site visits to gather data, assess conditions, and ensure designs are feasible and aligned with real-world constraints.
- Prepare and present comprehensive design reports to stakeholders and clients.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must-Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with at least 2 years specifically in road construction projects.
- Proficiency in CAD software, including AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, construction methods, and design standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Nice-to-Have:
- Experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with GIS software and other engineering design tools.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
