The Key Purpose of this role is to ensure the timeous receiving and issuing of raw materials to ensure uninterrupted production, to manage returns of returnable and non- returnable raw materials to production and suppliers and ensure accurate material reconciliations including stock counts.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control raw materials and stocks
- Receive, issue and return raw materials
- COA checks and sampling of Packaging Raw materials
- Manage SAP material movements via SAP transactions
- Picking & Staging Packaging raw materials for production
- Apply good waste management techniques
- Apply Good Housekeeping principles
- Monitor and report on, truck turnaround times, on time in full deliveries and expediting
- Administrative duties
- Liaison with internal and external customers
- Support team goals and VPO principles
- Assisting fellow team members in the execution of their tasks
Key Attributes and Competencies:
- A team player with well-developed organizational and planning skills
- Dynamic self-starter with high energy levels
- Capable of operating in a pressurized cross- functional and demanding environment
Minimum Requirements:
- Min. of OND/B.Sc./HND or equivalent in the Social Sciences, Sciences or Engineering (Chemical)
- Stores and materials handling experience
- Computer literate (Windows, Excel, SAP)
- Experience working in the FMCG Industry
- Two years’ experience in a logistics environment
- Good understanding of the Brewing and Packaging production processes
- Knowledge and understanding of the SAP PTP and Materials Management processes
- Licensed Forklift driver
- Knowledge of stock control & inventory systems and procedures
