Role Overview
As a Sales and Marketing Assistant, you will engage in individual work while collaborating closely with the Marketing Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for driving product visibility and addressing customer inquiries, contributing significantly to our company’s success.

Position Details
• Employment Type: Full-time
• Location: Kampala
• Reporting Structure: Reports to the Marketing Manager
• Work Arrangement: Hybrid

Key Responsibilities
1. Negotiate with retail merchants to improve product exposure, such as shelf positioning and advertising.
2. Answer customers’ questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms.
3. Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors’ products, prices, and sales.
4. Perform administrative duties, such as preparing sales budgets and reports, keeping sales records, and filing expense account reports.

Requirements
Essential Qualifications
• Post-secondary Diploma in Marketing or related fields or Finalists at University or Institutions
• Strong speaking skills
• Persuasion abilities
• Critical thinking
• Judgment and decision-making skills
• Time management
• Language proficiency in Luganda

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in checking stock levels and reordering merchandise
• Ability to recommend products to customers based on their needs
• Negotiation skills for contracts and payments
• Social perceptiveness, writing, and coordination skills
