Job Overview
Exim Bank is seeking an IT Support Officer to provide technical support for core banking and alternative systems. The role involves ensuring timely resolution of service desk tickets, managing IT applications and databases, and executing end-of-day system processing.
Key Responsibilities
- Run the daily end-of-day process and ensure the system is ready for the next day’s transactions.
- Execute, review, and verify daily backups for core banking and peripheral application databases.
- Ensure backups are transferred to the Disaster Recovery (DR) site and replication is in sync.
- Manage user rights assignments and access control.
- Install, configure, and manage banking applications and databases.
- Provide first and second-level support for all IT applications and databases.
- Oversee the IT service desk, ensuring timely resolution of requests from branches and customers within Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Collaborate with third-party vendors to implement new solutions and change requests aligned with business needs.
- Support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for all change requests.
- Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for IT processes.
- Proactively communicate with stakeholders regarding service failures and resolution timelines.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT-related fields, preferably Computer Science.
- Experience: At least 1.5 years in IT, Banking, or a related field.
- Preferred Knowledge: Digital banking products (added advantage).
- Hands-on experience in IT applications, core banking support, infrastructure, and IT operations.
- Strong analytical skills with innovative problem-solving abilities.
