Introduction
World Vision Uganda is seeking a dedicated and proactive Office Assistant to join our team in Arua, Uganda. As a Christian Relief and Development NGO, we focus on improving the lives of children and communities across Uganda. Key Responsibilities
- Office and Compound Maintenance
- Sweep, mop, and maintain cleanliness across the office premises.
- Dust, remove cobwebs, and clean windows and walls regularly.
- Ensure cleanliness of the office compound and coordinate bi-annual fumigation services.
- Empty and clean dustbins for a tidy and safe work environment.
- Restroom Maintenance
- Scrub and clean restrooms thoroughly.
- Replenish toiletries and ensure handwashing stations are stocked with water and soap.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in washrooms at all times.
- Tea Preparation and Kitchen Maintenance
- Prepare and serve tea for staff and visitors.
- Wash utensils immediately after use and keep the kitchen area tidy.
- Replenish utility items and ensure a clean and well-stocked kitchen environment.
- Waste Management
- Collect and dispose of waste responsibly.
- Assist in loading and offloading items to maintain an organized office environment.
- Promote a clean and safe workplace.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
- Educational Requirement: O’Level Certificate
- Language: Fluent in English
- Teamwork: Ability to work well in a team with minimal supervision and flexibility
- Community Involvement: Must be an active member of a local church
- Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Calm under pressure, with a positive attitude during stressful situations
- Basic time management skills to ensure efficient service delivery
