About the National Curriculum Development Centre (NCDC)
The National Curriculum Development Centre (NCDC) is a corporate body under the Ministry of Education and Sports. NCDC is responsible for developing curricular and related materials across various educational levels, including Pre-primary, Primary, Secondary, and some Tertiary institutions. It also organizes capacity-building courses for stakeholders involved in curriculum development.
Job Summary
We are seeking a Laboratory Technician to engage in the production and servicing of science laboratory equipment at the National Curriculum Development Centre (NCDC). The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and servicing laboratory equipment, contributing to the effective functioning of science education.
Key Responsibilities
- Production and servicing of science laboratory equipment.
- Regular maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments and tools.
- Ensure the availability of equipment and resources for educational purposes.
- Adhere to safety standards and protocols in the handling of laboratory equipment.
- Collaborate with educators and staff to support science curriculum implementation.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
- A minimum Diploma in Science and Technology-Physics or Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology-Physics from a recognized institution.
- At least two (2) years of experience in science laboratory or related fields.
- Age: 25–40 years.
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of laboratory equipment and safety procedures.
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
