Install and set up wellhead systems, including Christmas trees, valves, blowout preventers (BOPs), casing heads, and other pressure control systems.
Perform functional tests on valves, BOPs, and other pressure control equipment to verify proper operation.
Perform regular and preventive maintenance on wellhead systems to ensure optimal performance and safety
Conduct routine inspections of wellhead equipment to identify any potential issues, wears and corrosion.
Conduct repairs or replacements of faulty wellhead components, ensuring minimal disruption to production operations.
Report any operational issues, safety concerns, or potential risks to supervisors and managers.

Responsibilities

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in wellhead engineering, well integrity management, or related fields within the upstream oil and gas industry.
Experience working with major International Oil Companies (IOCs) or leading Indigenous Operators is highly desirable.
Professional certifications such as IWCF Well Intervention Level 4, API 6A Certification, or equivalent are advantageous.
Strong technical expertise in wellhead equipment, pressure control systems, and completion technologies.
Proficiency in engineering software and wellhead modeling tools.
Excellent understanding of well integrity principles and risk management.
Ability to interpret well schematics, technical drawings, and engineering reports.
Strong project management and leadership skills to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and hands-on troubleshooting experience.
In-depth knowledge of API 6A, API 17D, ASME, and other relevant industry standards for wellhead systems.
