PRESS RELEASE: Alternative Arrangement for Interested UPDF Recruitment Applicants

In reference to the ongoing Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) recruitment exercise 2025, the UPDF recruitment portal has encountered technical glitches that have hindered some applicants from successfully completing their online applications.

To address this challenge and ensure no eligible candidate is left behind, the Ministry has introduced an alternative application process for all interested candidates.

What Candidates Should Do:
Applicants are requested to send an Excel sheet with the following details:

Full Names

National Identification Number (NIN)

Education level/combination

Date of birth

District

County/Sub-county

Parish

Village

They must email the Excel file along with the following soft copy documents:

National ID

Passport-size photo

Academic documents

Deadline for Submissions:
🗓 15 July 2025 – No applications will be accepted after this date.

This move aims to ensure transparency, inclusiveness, and fairness for all potential recruits who may have been affected by the system downtime.
