Musana Community Development Organization is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our team and play a key role in safeguarding vulnerable individuals. Key Responsibilities
As a Social Worker (Safeguarding), you will:
1. Address Needs: Identify and respond to the social, emotional, and educational needs of children and vulnerable individuals.
2. Policy Implementation: Develop and enforce safeguarding policies to prevent harm and exploitation, ensuring the protection of at-risk groups.
3. Assessments and Interventions: Conduct assessments and implement interventions to support individuals in need, ensuring a positive and safe environment.
4. Collaborate with Institutions: Work closely with schools, hospitals, and community centers to ensure safety protocols are followed.
5. Counseling and Advocacy: Provide counseling services, training, and advocacy to community members to promote awareness and resilience.
6. Case Management: Maintain comprehensive case records and report safeguarding concerns to relevant authorities.
7. Field Support: Travel to various project sites, including using a motorcycle, to monitor and provide support for community programs.

Qualifications and Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have:
• Educational Background: A Degree in Social Sciences, Social Work, Social Administration, or Development Studies.
• Experience: Practical experience in working with vulnerable populations, particularly in education, health, and skills development sectors.
• Knowledge: Understanding of the functions and operations of schools, hospitals, and hospitality centers.
• Other Skills: Ability to ride a motorcycle and travel to project sites.
