JOB DETAILS:

The Research and Product Development Officer will report to Manager Research and Product Development and will be based at Head office. He/she will be responsible for performing research activities and contribute to product development, refinement and redesign as well as collating data to inform business on customer preferences and new opportunities.

Specific responsibilities include:

a) Carry out research in line with business needs through drafting research proposals and present to EXCOM for approval.
b) Conduct field visits and prepare feasibility study reports for new branch offices in line with both the institution operations and business plan.
c) Liaise with operations and credit as per reporting lines to disseminate survey and research findings to different stake holders.
d) Respond to external and internal research inquiries by working with different stakeholders to complete received data requests.
e) Prepare concepts and business development proposals to seek and manage strategic partnerships with local and international organizations.
f) Participate in the innovation and developing of market led products and refining existing ones.
g) Project management and implementation.

Minimum academic qualifications, Experience & competence.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Business Computing, Microfinance, Banking, Finance or any relevant field.
• At least 2 years experience in marketing research and product development in a competitive business environment.
• Should possess good communication skills, analytical skills and good at marketing research.
• Should possess 2 principal passes at A’ level and credits/pass in Mathematics and English at O’ level.
• He/she should not be more than 45 years of age.
