Job Summary:

The Plumber will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems, including water supply lines, drainage systems, and solar water heating systems.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
• Work on solar water heating systems, including collectors, pumps, and storage tanks.
• Assemble and install pipes, fittings, and fixtures for water, gas, and drainage systems.
• Diagnose plumbing issues and provide effective solutions.
• Inspect solar thermal systems to ensure proper functionality and efficiency.
• Test pipes for leaks using pressure gauges and other tools.
• Ensure all installations comply with local building codes and safety regulations.
• Follow best practices for water conservation and energy efficiency.
• Adhere to workplace safety protocols, including PPE usage.
• Communicate effectively with clients to explain plumbing and solar system operations.
• Provide recommendations for system upgrades or maintenance.
• Coordinate with electricians, solar technicians, and construction teams for integrated projects.
• Assist in training junior plumbers and apprentices

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Diploma or Certificate in plumbing or related field.
• Experience: Minimum 2-3 years in plumbing, with exposure to solar water heating systems preferred.
• Proficient in pipefitting and system diagnostics.
• Knowledge of solar thermal systems (installation & maintenance).
• Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Physical stamina for lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.
