About the Role:

Join us as a Mobile Diagnostic Unit Coordinator, where you will play a pivotal role in improving TB and Leprosy case detection and management across Uganda. This role is perfect for a dynamic, results-oriented professional passionate about leveraging mobile diagnostic units to transform community health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Mobile Diagnostic Unit Operations:
• Oversee the day-to-day management of Mobile Diagnostic Units (MDUs).
• Ensure adherence to servicing and maintenance schedules, aligning with government regulations.
2. Capacity Building:
• Train provincial and district staff on the efficient use of MDUs.
• Provide strategic guidance based on data from MDUs to improve local health service delivery.
3. Data Management and Analysis:
• Organize, manage, and analyze data from MDUs to inform decision-making.
• Evaluate strategies and innovations to improve case detection using research methods.
4. Policy and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs):
• Regularly review and update SOPs for MDUs to ensure operational efficiency.
5. Stakeholder Coordination:
• Lead the Private Partnership Mix (PPM) initiative for the National TB and Leprosy Program.
• Coordinate TB activities within the private health sector, fostering collaboration with stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
o Full Form V/Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate.
o Diploma in Health Sciences (Clinical Medicine, Environmental Health, Nursing, Public Health, or Community Health).
o A degree in a relevant field is an added advantage.
• Professional Registration:
o Member of the Health Professions Council of Zambia (or equivalent regulatory body).
Experience:
o At least 4 years’ post-qualification experience in a health-related field.
o Hands-on experience with community TB/HIV programs at the primary healthcare level.
Skills:
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
o Proficiency in data analysis tools and relevant software applications.
