Role Overview
Are you a dynamic, results-driven individual with a passion for sales in Uganda? Join Hariss International Limited as a Merchandiser and help drive success while building strong client relationships and ensuring brand visibility!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Follow assigned routes and conduct door-to-door visits.
2. Generate orders using a daily checklist.
3. Ensure brand availability in sufficient quantities.
4. Maintain and enhance brand visibility.
5. Build and maintain good relationships with suppliers.
6. Clean and dust products and maintain cleanliness where necessary.
7. Monitor and report any misuse of company fridges.
8. Ensure correct pricing tags according to the company’s Recommended Retail Price (RRP).
9. Occupy the largest shelf space in all competing categories and prevent competitors’ dominance.
10. Gather and report competitor information and activities.
11. Interact with customers and end-users, maintaining service excellence.
12. Monitor product expiries and stock levels in assigned outlets.
13. Maintain confidentiality of company information.
14. Submit daily reports, route plans, and live locations to management.
15. Conduct daily stock checks using a checklist.
16. Receive goods from suppliers and ensure proper handling.
17. Provide quality customer service by addressing customer needs and concerns.
18. Perform any additional tasks as assigned by management.
Education and Experience Requirements
• Education:
o Minimum Diploma in Marketing Science or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (BBA), Commerce (BCOM) with a focus on Marketing, or related disciplines from a reputable university.
• Experience:
o At least 2 years in a similar role in a fast-paced environment.
Key Requirements
• Excellent attitude and professional body language.
• Strong verbal communication skills for internal and external interactions.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality service.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and complete tasks within given parameters and timelines.
