Job Title: Duty Free Store Manager
Job Location: Kampala, Uganda
About the Role:
Join our dynamic team as a Duty Free Store Manager and lead with excellence!. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive results by meeting key performance indicators (KPIs) while maintaining world-class standards for our valued guests.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with Duty Managers to plan efficient resource deployment aligned with business needs.
• Monitor and improve customer service standards, ensuring compliance with company guidelines.
• Analyze store performance and implement actionable strategies to enhance results.
• Ensure store readiness by maintaining cleanliness, proper signage, and adequate stock levels.
• Conduct regular store walks with Duty Managers to uphold exceptional standards.
• Manage team performance through constructive feedback, regular reviews, and development plans.
• Minimize shrinkage by collaborating with the Retail Manager and implementing preventative measures.
• Provide feedback on product performance to Category Managers for continuous improvement.
• Evaluate departmental goals, procedures, and practices, making improvements as necessary.
Qualifications:
Essential:
• High School/Vocational Diploma with 5+ years of relevant experience OR Bachelor’s Degree with 4+ years of experience.
• Proven experience in retail management, achieving sales targets, and leading teams of 50-200 people.
• Strong background in customer-facing roles within fast-paced environments.
Preferred:
• Experience working in the Middle East, luxury markets, or duty-free/airport settings.
