We are looking for a dedicated Audit Officer to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in strengthening our internal audit function.

Job Purpose:
As an Audit Officer, you will ensure the Bank’s risk management, control, and governance frameworks operate effectively. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to organizational excellence by identifying risks, driving compliance, and fostering operational improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
• Risk Management: Develop and implement audit tests to address key risks and ensure robust controls.
• Audit Execution: Conduct comprehensive audit procedures, analyze client processes, and identify actionable insights.
• Strategic Planning: Support the development of the Annual Audit Plan by identifying and evaluating risk areas.
• Reporting Excellence: Prepare clear, concise audit reports highlighting findings and actionable recommendations.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong relationships with internal clients and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Team Support: Assist audit management with additional tasks to ensure the seamless execution of the audit strategy.

Qualifications and Training:
• Education:
o Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Statistics from a recognized institution.
o Progress toward CIA, CPA, ACCA, or CISA certification (full qualification is a plus).
• Certifications:
o CIA certification or expertise in auditing, taxation, business analysis, or program evaluation is an advantage.
o Proficiency in ACL or similar data analysis tools is a bonus.

Skills and Experience:
• At least three years of experience in auditing, accounting, or working with an audit firm, with a focus on financial reporting and taxation.
