Job Purpose:
The Agriculture Coordinator will lead training and support fieldwork activities to assist households in transitioning from subsistence farming to developing sustainable agribusinesses.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Livestock Production & Management:
• Address challenges and identify opportunities in livestock production, including trade, animal health inputs, and services.
• Strengthen practices in livestock management, animal feeding, health, and marketing.
2. Agricultural Analysis & Improvement:
• Analyze current practices in live animal feed production, fodder supply, and rangeland management as they relate to livestock and crop production.
• Evaluate agricultural production within the social, legal, and economic context, involving all relevant stakeholders.
3. Stakeholder Collaboration & Capacity Building:
• Collaborate with agri-processing companies to expand operations and build trade linkages with smallholders and producer cooperatives.
• Support in enhancing services for member cooperatives
• Assist farmers in accessing agricultural inputs, including improved seeds and farm tools.
4. Facilitation & Multi-Stakeholder Engagement:
• Organize multi-stakeholder forums to identify agricultural challenges and solutions while fostering collaboration and innovation.
• Gather lessons learned from livestock and crop improvement initiatives to strengthen existing practices and develop innovative solutions.
5. Program Implementation & Reporting:
• Engage in the identification, development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of program activities focused on livestock and crop production.
• Prepare detailed reports and recommendations to support program development and sustainability.

Qualifications and Experience:
• 3-5 years of professional experience in livestock and crop production.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture or Diploma in Agriculture, Agronomy, or a related field.
