We are looking for a talented Accountant & Business Analyst to join our team and play a critical role in driving financial efficiency and growth across our businesses.

Job Summary

The Accountant & Business Analyst will support portfolio businesses in managing their accounts, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and preparing insightful analyses for decision-making. The role involves handling record-keeping, tax compliance, financial forecasting, and reporting. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proficient in QuickBooks, and have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide accounting support to portfolio businesses, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Maintain up-to-date financial records and ensure compliance with tax and statutory regulations.
• Develop financial forecasts, budgets, and cash flow projections to support business planning.
• Use QuickBooks to manage accounts, generate reports, and streamline accounting processes.
• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for growth.
• Work with business leaders to provide data-driven insights for strategic decision-making.
• Support internal audits and ensure implementation of financial best practices.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• CPA or ACCA qualification (added advantage).
• Minimum of 3 years’ work experience in accounting, financial analysis, or business advisory.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and strong Excel skills.
• Knowledge of tax compliance and financial regulations in Uganda.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork abilities.
• High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
